My Story

West Bay Photography® by Daryl Gill

My story

West Bay Photography® is run by Dorset photographer Daryl Gill, based in West Bay on the Jurassic Coast.

I photograph the place I live — from quiet mornings around the harbour and dramatic weather over East Cliff to sunsets, night skies and aerial views of the coastline. The collection has grown from years of photographing West Bay and the surrounding Dorset coast in every kind of light and weather.

Photography from West Bay

My work includes coastal, landscape, aerial and fine art photography, with a particular focus on West Bay and the Jurassic Coast. Every image in the shop is my own original photography.

Made for your wall

Selected photographs are available as professional prints, framed wall art and premium canvas prints, all produced to order in the UK. I choose images that I think work as more than photographs on a screen — pictures that bring a little bit of West Bay into your home.

Professional printsEvery print is produced to order in the UK by a specialist photographic laboratory with over 30 years’ experience supplying professional photographers, with careful colour management and attention to detail. Prints are produced on professional matt lustre photographic paper.
Framed piecesFraming is completed in the UK by a specialist supplier who is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild. Framed pieces use conservation-quality acid-free mount board, a premium solid wood open-grain frame and 2mm clear glass, and arrive ready to hang.
Canvas printsEach canvas is professionally made to order in the UK using premium 100% cotton 340gsm canvas and a professional 12-colour pigment printing process for excellent colour, tonal detail and long-lasting results. The canvas is individually hand-stretched and hand-finished over a substantial 45mm deep solid-pine frame, then finished with framers tape and hanging fittings so it arrives ready to hang.

These are original photographs taken by me, Daryl Gill — no stock pictures and no mass-produced artwork.

Whether West Bay is home, somewhere you visit every year, or simply a place that means something to you, I hope you find an image that brings back that connection.
